It's Terrible Ideas day! Final info for your weekend

Terrible Ideas is tonight! This email will help fill you in on some critical information, including what to bring, your link to our Discord, and more.

Discord & staying in touch

We'll still use email, but Discord will be your best place to stay in the loop during the weekend.

When & Where to be

Kiwijam is taking place at the University of Auckland's B201 foyer space (enter from Symonds Street). The schedule for Friday is as follows:

  • 6:00 PM - Terrible Ideas kicks off in theatre 201-440
  • 7:00 PM - The weekend begins, and pizza arrives!
  • ... team forming & coming up with ideas ...
  • 10:30 PM - Venue closes for the night

When you arrive, stop by our registration desk to check in! We'll give you a lanyard with important info like the Wi-Fi password, and do necessary contact tracing to help keep everyone safe. Follow the signs if you're lost, or fire a call to 022 043 7464

Parking & transport

While we highly recommend using public transport (parking is expensive), on the weekend Owen G Glenn Building has $6/day covered parking on the weekend. If that's not to your liking, try Princes Street which is free Sundays. Check the below link for more information:

What to bring

If you want to make something physical, we've got you covered! All tools you need (that we have) will be provided. This includes WiFi, power outlets, 3d printers, vinyl cutters, and a veritable workshop available for you to use.

For the first night, just bring a laptop and/or a notepad and pen. You can bring in anything else you need tomorrow!

That's all! Thank you so much for registering - reach out if you have any questions, and see you soon.

Cheers,
Zac, Russell & the team at Terrible Ideas Tāmaki Makaurau
